BAND-IT Celebrates Veterans Day 2023

Saturday, November 11th is Veterans Day. Every year BAND-IT takes the time to celebrate and honor our Veterans with a week full of events. This year includes our annual luncheon filled with great food and music, campus decorations, and of course our Thank You card program.

BAND-IT Veterans and volunteers will once again visit the Rocky Mountain Regional VA Medical Center in Aurora, Colorado, just a few miles from our Denver Headquarters to hand deliver Thank You cards. Last year, the BAND-IT Vets got to see firsthand what these cards really mean to these true heroes. The patients have a chance to reflect, reminisce, share stories, and show their appreciation for taking the time to say a quick thank you. 

BAND-IT actively recruits Veterans for our open positions and is proud to have hired many veterans over the years. Veterans make excellent candidates in the workforce because they arrive with proven experience, from hard technical skills such as mechanical and electrical, to areas including administrative, communications, and operations. No matter the skillset, we’ve found Veterans all have a few things in common: phenomenal work ethic, the ability to work in high pressure environments, and to complete tasks on time.
